This article analyzes how the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools into business support processes influences organizational productivity and employee experience in Costa Rican companies, especially those in free trade zones. It addresses the scientific problem of understanding whether AI adoption generates real improvements or if it leads to the productivity paradox. The central objective is to identify the level of technological integration and its relationship with performance and job perception. A quantitative approach was used, applying a structured questionnaire to employees of service companies in Costa Rica. The instrument measured three dimensions: AI integration and use, perceived productivity, and job experience. Descriptive analyses, internal reliability, and inferential tests were used. The results indicate that AI can increase productivity and improve employee experience when there is alignment between technology, digital skills, and organizational culture. However, a fragmented implementation generates tension, uncertainty, and underutilization of technology. Research limitations: The sample size, the use of self-reporting, and the sectoral approach are identified as limitations, which restrict generalizability. Expanding the scope of the study to include more sectors and implementing longitudinal measures are suggested. The findings inform strategies for ethical adoption, digital training, and technology governance. This study provides local evidence in an under-researched sector and offers a framework for understanding the relationship between AI, productivity, and work experience in Costa Rica.es_ES
