dc.description	The conflict between Palestinians and Israelis is one of the longest and most complex confrontationsinherited from the past century, marked by a series of factors such as armed clashes, populationdisplacements, and diplomatic movements to assert their positions. Due to this, nationalism playsa fundamental role in accentuating the confrontations and is the central basis for promoting ajust and lasting solution to the conflict. With the emergence of the Jewish national movement(Zionism) in the late 19th century and the rise of Palestinian Arab nationalism during the 20thcentury, both movements have transformed into platforms of identity and the assertion of therights of both populations. The Zionist movement promoted the creation of a national home forthe Jewish people in the ancestral land of Israel, achieving its goal with the founding of the State ofIsrael in 1948. On the other hand, Palestinian nationalism has sought self-determination and therecognition of an independent state in the historical territories of Palestine, leading to the creationof representative bodies, although initially focused on achieving this objective through a war ofdestruction against the Israelis. Understanding how nationalist movements could contribute tosolving the conflict involves analyzing the historical and cultural roots of these identities, as wellas contemporary political and social dynamics. The aspirations of both peoples could be key toachieving sustainable and just peace.	en-US
dc.description	El conflicto entre palestinos e israelíes es uno de los enfrentamientos más prolongados y complejosheredados desde el siglo pasado, marcado por una serie de factores como enfrentamientosarmados, desplazamientos poblacionales y movimientos diplomáticos para hacer prevalecer susposiciones. Debido a esto, los nacionalismos juegan un rol fundamental en la acentuación delos enfrentamientos y es la base central para impulsar una solución justa y duradera al conflicto.Con la aparición del movimiento nacional judío (Sionismo) a fines del siglo XIX y el impulso delnacionalismo árabe palestino durante el siglo XX, ambos movimientos se han transformado en unaplataforma identitaria y de reivindicación de los derechos de ambas poblaciones. El movimientosionista promovió la creación de un hogar nacional para el pueblo judío en la tierra ancestral deIsrael, logrando su objetivo con la fundación del Estado de Israel en el año 1948. El nacionalismopalestino ha buscado la autodeterminación y el reconocimiento de un estado independiente en losterritorios históricos de Palestina, llevando a la creación de organismos de representación, aunqueinicialmente se enfocó en desarrollar este objetivo a través de una guerra de destrucción contra losisraelíes. Entender cómo los movimientos nacionalistas contribuirían en la solución del conflictoanaliza las raíces históricas y culturales de estas identidades, así como las dinámicas políticas ysociales contemporáneas, las aspiraciones de ambos pueblos puede ser clave para alcanzar una pazsostenible y justa.	es-ES
